Sunday mornings at 9:30 and 11:00am
9:30am Main Sanctuary
This service is contemporary, but with a memory of the ancient church. Most Sundays you will find fresh expressions of worship, including the accompaniment of a band.
11:00am Main Sanctuary
This service is more traditional, emphasizing reverence. Most Sundays the music is accompanied by the piano, organ or both.
11:00am The Table: Grandview Room
This service is communal. Instead of sitting in rows and columns, you will worship around tables. The music in this service is eclectic. Be prepared for a variety of styles.
Grandview is located on the Southside of Johnson City at the corner of University Parkway and Buffalo Street (across from Pine Oaks Golf Course).
Directions from I-26 (from either direction):
Take I-26 to exit 24. Turn left onto University Parkway (321). Grandview is on your right in just under .5 miles.
Directions from ETSU:
Take University Parkway toward I-26. Grandview is on your left, just 1.5 miles from campus.
What will happen in worship
We aim for one hour services (and we usually hit the target). In each of our Sunday morning services you will find that we worship through music, preaching, praying and by celebrating the Lord's Supper. We believe that all Christians are invited to share in the Lord's Supper with us. If you are from a different Christian tradition than our own, you are still welcome to join us for communion.
We also take up an offering in our Sunday morning services. As our guest, however, please know that we don't expect you to give.
At no point in the service will we ask visitors to stand up or raise their hands or sing a solo for us.
Helpful hints
What to wear: You don't need to dress up. Some people wear jeans, others wear suits. Many people dress in something like business casual. We don't want it to be about the clothes.
