Two-4-Two Youth Worship Preview

The Grandview family is invited and encouraged to attend a special service of worship on Wednesday, September 8th, 6:30 - 8:00 pm. as we prepare for the new session of TWO4TWO. Parents of 7th – 12th grade youth are especially encouraged to join us to experience the worship service your kids experience each week during TWO4TWO. Gather with us in the Youth Lounge for snacks at 6:30 pm and worship to follow in The Core at 7:00 pm.
Youth Ministry Day Hike

All junior and senior high youth are invited to join us for a day hike to the Flint Mill Rock planned for Saturday, September 11th. We'll leave the church at 10:30 am and return at approximately 5:00 pm. Please bring money for a fast food stop at lunch
Annual Church Picnic and Youth Mission Trip Reports

Location: Appalachian Christian Camp
A fun night is in store at the Annual Church Picnic and Youth Mission Trip Reports. Bring your lawn chair. Grilled hot dogs and fixings, drinks and paper products will be provided. Please bring a vegetable, chips or dessert to share.
The schedule of fun will be:
- 4 to 7 pm - bring your volleyballs, bats, soccer balls and play
- 5 to 7 pm - swimming pool open with life guard
- 6 pm - supper
- 7 pm - Jr. & Sr. High Mission trip reports
- Clean up to follow
Women's Bible Study

A Women's Bible Study facilitated by Joey Morris. The study will take place on Wednesday evenings during 2-4-2 at 7:00 pm.
Gracefully Caring for Aging Loved Ones

Location: Grandview
This adult class facilitated by Fay Bembry will meet for a 3 week study (September 15, 22 & 29) at 5:00 pm on the aging process and care for aging individuals. The last week will address questions class members may have.
ABCs of Financial Freedom

Location: Grandview
This adult study is a 10 week study meeting Wednesdays from September 15 – November 17 at 7:00 pm. The study will be teaching money management as well as getting and staying out of debt. Facilitated by several leaders in the church.
College Retreat - "Out of the Orchard"

Location: Appalachian Christian Camp
All College students are invited to a special weekend of fellowship and service on September 17-18 at Appalachian Christian Camp. Fellowship and fun will begin Friday night at 6:00 pm. On Saturday we’ll be serving in the community until 2:00 pm. You’ll need sleeping gear, work clothes, toiletries and your favorite game (if you like.) There is no cost to attend but spots are limited. Sign up by contacting Ryan Bader or John-Paul Abner or by calling the church office (928-7866.) Hope you will plan to join us.
BRAT PAC Small Group

Higher Retreat

Location: Grandview
All 7th – 12th graders are encouraged to join us for a weekend of spiritual discipline called Higher, anticipating an event that challenges you to embody the words of Colossians 3:1-4: “So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.” All retreatants will meet at the church on Friday evening at 4:30 and return by 8:00 Saturday night. There is a $15 charge for the weekend.
BRAT PAC Small Group

We will meet at Grandview for a short time of prayer and bible study. Then we will go to Pine Oaks for Bingo. Bring $1 for prize.
Youth Garage & Bake Sale
October 1, 2010 - October 2, 2010
Location: Grandview
The youth will be sponsoring a Garage & Bake Sale Friday, October 1st 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and Saturday, October 2nd, 7 am to 12 pm.
Collection of all donated items will begin Monday, September 27th. Pick–up of large items can be arranged by calling Ryan Bader at 928.7866 or 914.0902. A Bake Sale will also be set up where you’ll find a delicious assortment of fresh baked goods from Grandview’s cooks. If you are interested in helping with the Bake Sale portion of the sale (baking or attendant), please call Beth Bader at 914.0944. Bake Sale items will be accepted Wednesday night and Thursday. Proceeds will go toward funding future youth mission endeavors.
