Ministry Teams
Adult Education Team
The purpose of the Adult Education Ministry Team is to "present everyone mature in Christ" (Colossians 1:28-29). The team seeks to find ways to nurture individuals by providing Bible studies concerning the nature of God, the person of Christ, the Holy Spirit, and other doctrines; by examining and engaging in discussion of issues important to Christians; and by providing avenues of guidance and growth of our young people.
Community Concerns
The purpose of the Community Concerns team, in the spirit of Matthew 25:31-46, is to facilitate the use of the resources of Grandview toward personal, economical, spiritual, and social development of people in our community. The intent is to seek out and implement methods of helping people help themselves.
Financial Stewardship
The mission of the Financial Stewardship team is to aid the congregation in seeing our money as belonging to God and using it to serve Him. All that we have – what we give in the offering and what we use for other purposes – belongs to God and should be used in the most effective ways possible to give glory to Him.
Missions Ministry Team
The purpose of the Missions Ministry Team is to educate, promote and involve members of the congregation in the mission of the church locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Partnership Fund Team
The Partnership Fund is for the specific purpose of expressing the love of Christ to members and regular attenders of the congregation who are experiencing financial emergencies. The Fund cannot undertake long-term financial support but may help members/regular attenders who have long-term problems find appropriate financial counseling, if desired.
Property Ministry Team
The purpose of the Property Ministry Team is to provide a useful, safe, comfortable, and pleasant place for the congregation to worship God and to nurture and serve others.
Staff Relations Ministry Team
The purpose of the Staff Relations Ministry Team is to serve the congregation of Grandview Christian Church by encouraging, empowering, and nurturing the staff. This
team also promotes open lines of communication between the staff and the congregation.
Worship Ministry Team
The mission of the Worship Ministry Team is to plan the worship services, including Sunday morning services and all of the seasonal services that are a part of the Christian year (especially around Christmas and Easter).
Relational/Small Groups
The purpose of the Relational/Small Groups Team is to begin, encourage, and promote small groups in the life of the church in order to deepen relationships and discipleship.
First Impressions Team
The purpose of the First Impressions Team is to provide a welcoming, safe, and warm environment for people who visit the church. This team seeks to find ways to communicate the message of the church to visitors.
