Aaron Wymer - Senior Minister

Aaron Wymer is in his 12th year as senior minister at Grandview. He is a graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary (DMin 09), Emmanuel School of Religion (MDiv 95) and the University of Florida (BS 89). Aaron and his wife, Cynthia, have three daughters. Aaron grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana where he was baptized, married and ordained at North Liberty Christian Church. He enjoys running (doesn’t do it as often as he should!), riding motorcycles, and trying to keep at least one eye on pop culture.

Anna Jones - Minister to Children

Anna joined the staff at Grandview in May of 2010. She coordinates our children programming, including our Wednesday night programming that we call Two4Two. She is from Grand Rapids, Michigan and is a graduate of Grand Valley State. She recently gave Tony Jones the honor of becoming her husband. She enjoys running, being with friends, and bringing smiles to those around her. Anna and Tony have been members since 2009.


Ryan Bader - Minister to Youth and Young Adults

Ryan is a native of East Tennessee, born and raised in Johnson City. He attended Hales Chapel Christian Church in his youth and was a member of the youth ministry led by Curtis Booher, now youth ministry professor at Milligan College. After graduating from Science Hill high school, Ryan attended Milligan College to pursue his calling to ministry. After graduation in 2000, he began serving as youth minister with First Christian Church in Erwin, TN, where he remained for five and a half years. In January of 2006, Ryan followed God's leading to Grandview where he serves as minister to youth and young adults. In addition to youth ministry, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Beth, and children, Anna, Luke and Caroline, playing and watching sports, reading interesting books, laughing at good jokes, pretending to work out at the gym and writing incredible screenplays (that last one is more of a fantasy!).


Theresa Garbe - Worship Minister

As part-time Worship Minister, Theresa Garbe oversees Grandview’s three worship services. She has been married to Jim since 1992, and they have three children: Chloe, Max and Mia. Theresa is a graduate of Milligan College and currently serves as the Director of Alumni Relations at Milligan College. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Emmanuel School of Religion in 2010. When she isn't working or running kids to various activities, she enjoys cooking, reading and working in the yard.


Jeff Miller - 11:00 Table Worship Service Music Minister

As part-time music minister Jeff Miller oversees The Table, one of Grandview's 11:00 worship services. Jeff is married to Dana, Grandview's Minister to Children. Their daughters, Danielle and Cassady, attend school at Milligan College and Science Hill High School, respectively. Jeff teaches Bible at Milligan College. His hobbies include racquetball, hiking and playing the piano.


Ned Greene - 9:30 Service Worship Music Minister

Ned, a native son of Massachusetts, is a graduate of Milligan College (2007) and he received his M. Div. in Old Testament from Emmanuel School of Religion (2010). As a part-time Music Minister he moonlights as a teacher of Hebrew at Emmanuel School of Religion. Ned is a Boston sports fan (Sox, Pats, B’s, and C’s) who enjoys studying ancient languages, making music, good milkshakes, and archaeological digs.


Dennis Helsabeck - Choir Director

Dennis was born in North Carolina, but raised in Madison, Wisconsin. From his college work at the Universities of Wisconsin, Indiana and Oregon, he received degrees in history and guidance counseling. At Luther Seminary he earned an M.A. in church history. After serving as a guidance counselor in a high school near Green Bay, he worked at the University of Wisconsin and at Northwest Christian College in Eugene, Oregon. Dennis began teaching at Milligan College in 1981, and except for a stint in Brisbane, Australia at Kenmore College, remained there until his retirement from full-time teaching in 2007 (Dennis continues to teach 1 or 2 classes.) He is an Associate Professor Emeritus of History. Dennis began attending Grandview in 1981 and has served as Choir Director since 1990.
