Youth Bands 

Rhythm - Directed by Isaac Schade, we meet on most Wednesday's at varying times.  Rhythm focuses on percussion (drums and keyboard) and guitars.  The goal is to learn how to play and to learn how to lead worship with music.  The music we play is mainly contemporary choruses.  Even if you have never touched an instrument, show up.  The church has extra instruments we are ready to teach you how to play.  Austin says, "When i first came I didnt know an E-string from a microphone and now I can play Stairway to Heaven."  (That's not true, he didn't say that.  But it is true that whatever your skill level you are welcome and we are ready to teach you.)  Come join us.

Ensemble - Directed by Heather Lawson, we meet most Wednesday's at varying times.  Ensemble is for all those instruments that aren't rhythm.  Trumpets, saxophones, violins, tubas, trombones, cellos, and harmonicas are all welcome.  Preparing music for special presentations and accompaniment, the ensemble plays music from a wide range of genres.  Even if you are very new to your instrument, or don't have an instrument yet, come join us.  Ethan's office is full of instruments to loan out to you.  Heather's motto, "Give me 6 months, a warm body, and a used instrument and I'll give you a member of the Marsalis family."  (Again, that is not true but it is true that whatever your skill level, Heather would be eager to have you join.)
